Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery | New Grads Welcome

The University of Kansas Health System – Great Bend is seeking a full-time Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced nurses and new graduates to grow in a supportive hospital environment focused on providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. The position features 12-hour night shifts, competitive compensation with shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 12-hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and delivering mothers
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal wellbeing during labor
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe delivery and postnatal care
• Educate and support patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery process
• Document patient care accurately and promptly
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Participate in on-call coverage and rotate holiday shifts as required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (within first two weeks of employment)
• ACLS certification
• NRP certification (within six months of employment)
• PALS certification (within six months of employment)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification (within one year of employment)
• New graduates are welcome to apply

Pay

• $30.00–$36.50 per hour ( based on experience)
