We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will assist with chairside procedures, maintain infection control standards, prepare treatment rooms, manage patient records, and ensure a positive patient experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, surgical, and preventive treatments. \n
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before patient appointments. \n
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines. \n
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as permitted by state regulations. \n
- Record patient medical histories, vital information, and treatment notes accurately. \n
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices. \n
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations. \n
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and notify management of replenishment needs. \n
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures. \n
- Follow all safety, HIPAA, and facility policies and procedures. \n

- High School Diploma or GED required. \n
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred. \n
- Current Dental Assistant certification, registration, or licensure (as required by state law). \n
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). \n
- Minimum of 1 year of recent dental assisting experience preferred. \n
- Experience with digital dental radiography and electronic dental records. \n
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and infection control procedures. \n
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. \n

- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential. \n
- Experience in federal, military, tribal, community health, or public health dental clinics. \n
- Familiarity with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or other dental practice management software. \n
