Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, prioritize, and provide care for patients with a variety of emergent, traumatic, and acute medical conditions.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, trauma activations, stroke alerts, and cardiac events.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Educate patients and families while ensuring safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license required.
  • One year of Emergency Department or relevant acute care nursing experience preferred.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education:
    - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
    - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
    - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

  • Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: 
    - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

    - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
