2nd Shift - Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Production leadership — Lead operators, line leads, and support staff across stamping presses and assembly areas.
• Daily scheduling — Assign work, manage manpower, and adjust schedules based on production needs.
• Press operations oversight — Monitor stamping press performance, coil feed systems, die changes, and part quality.
• Tooling coordination — Work with tool room staff to address die issues, changeovers, and preventative maintenance.
• Quality compliance — Ensure parts meet specifications; respond to defects, scrap, and rework issues.
• Safety enforcement — Maintain a safe work environment, conduct audits, and enforce plant safety policies.
• Production reporting — Track output, downtime, labor, and efficiency metrics; communicate results to leadership.
• Continuous improvement — Identify bottlenecks, recommend process improvements, and support lean initiatives.
• Training & development — Train operators on press operation, quality checks, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in metal stamping, press operations, or production supervision.
• Strong understanding of dies, press setup, coil feed systems, and stamping workflows.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast‐paced, high‐volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production reporting, scheduling, and shift coordination.
• Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout, and quality inspection methods.
• Strong communication and problem‐solving skills.
