Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk

Local metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY looking for an experience part time Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team!!

1st shift hours - 5 days a week, flexible between 8am and 4pm

Pay starts at $20/hr+, depending on experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 3+ years of AP/AR experience, accounting education preferred, but not required
• Must be able to process AP/AR in a timely manner on a daily/weekly basis
• Experience with spreadsheets in Excel or accounting software required, Sage experience a plus
• Must have a high level of accuracy and good attention to detail

JOB DUTIES:

• Process AP/AR on a daily basis while ensuring accuracy and timeliness on all reports
• Review vendor documents and process as needed
• Prepare daily bank deposits and assign to customer accounts
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and compete the posting process
• Reconcile cash sheet to general ledger on a daily basis
• Work closely with controller to maintain financial documentation
• Process vendor check runs, including supporting documentation
• Prepare year end 1099's to appropriate vendors as needed
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed
