Residential AV Technician

Residential Audio / Visual Technician - $20-$35/hr - DOE

We are currently hiring Residential Audio/Visual Technicians with 2+ years of experience installing and servicing residential AV and smart home systems. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as we have an immediate need in the Denver Metro Area.

These positions involve installation and service work in residential homes, including custom homes and remodels. This is not an event production, TV, film, or music industry position.

Residential Audio / Visual Technician Job Duties:

• Install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, speaker wire, coaxial cable, and fiber (as needed)
• Install and configure home theater systems, TVs, surround sound, distributed audio, projectors, and projection screens
• Install and integrate smart home systems including control systems, lighting control, surveillance cameras, video doorbells, and access control devices
• Mount TVs, speakers, soundbars, racks, and AV equipment while maintaining a clean, professional appearance
• Install and configure residential networking equipment including routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Test, troubleshoot, and service existing AV and smart home systems
• Work independently or with a team to complete residential installation projects efficiently and professionally

Residential Audio / Visual Technician Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent experience installing residential AV, home theater, or smart home systems
• Experience with TV mounting, distributed audio, home networking, and low-voltage cabling
• Familiarity with systems such as Control4, Savant, Crestron Home, Sonos, Lutron, URC, or similar platforms is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams is a plus
• Must have your own basic hand tools
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work inside occupied homes

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay: $20-$35/hr, depending on experience
