Shop Welder (MIG) – Fabrication Shop
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $20-$25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking experienced Shop Welders for a fabrication client in Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled welders with experience in MIG welding using .045 wire and steel fabrication. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and produces high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding using .045 wire on steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel components according to specifications.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
• Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel.
• Experience using .045 wire.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for the duration of the shift.
• Must possess a current welding certification. A copy of the certification must be submitted with your resume.
• Must be able to pass a client-administered MIG weld test using .045 wire.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
