We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Audiologist to join our esteemed Coryell Health Medical Clinic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in diagnosing, treating, and managing hearing and balance disorders in patients of all ages. As an Audiologist, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to assess auditory and vestibular function. Your expertise will not only contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans but also aid in the fitting and adjustment of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices. In this dynamic environment, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care. Continuous education and staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field of audiology will be essential as you implement evidence-based practices. Furthermore, strong communication skills will be imperative, as you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about hearing health, rehabilitation strategies, and the use of technology that supports optimal auditory function. Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state license to practice audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic audiology, hearing aid selection and fitting, and counseling techniques

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, and acoustic immittance testing
  • Interpret test results and make recommendations for treatment plans, including hearing aid selection and fitting
  • Administer and interpret diagnostic tests for patients with balance and vestibular disorders
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families about hearing loss and communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in audiology through continuing education and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement programs to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal standards for audiology practice
