Job Title: Controls Engineer – Rockwell / Allen Bradley (GM GFACS)

Location: Onsite- Brookville, OH
Job Type: Contract to hire

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced PLC Controls Engineer with a strong background in Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs and GM GFACS (Global Factory Automation Controls Standards). The engineer will support the integration of PLC controls with autonomous manufacturing equipment on the production floor.

Important: Candidates must have prior hands-on experience with GM GFACS/FACS. Candidates with only GCCS experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLC controls with autonomous manufacturing equipment.
• Program, troubleshoot, and modify Rockwell PLC systems.
• Configure and validate PLC interfaces with robotic and automated production equipment.
• Work within GM GFACS standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Support commissioning, startup, and debugging of automation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLC hardware, and communication networks.
• Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, and production teams to resolve automation issues.
• Perform system testing, validation, and documentation.
• Provide production floor support during implementation and startup.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Controls Engineering or PLC Programming experience.
• Strong experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
• Hands-on experience with GM GFACS/FACS (Required).
• Experience integrating PLCs with automated or autonomous manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with commissioning and startup of automated systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC hardware and software.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting General Motors manufacturing facilities.
• Experience with robotics and autonomous manufacturing systems.
• Knowledge of industrial Ethernet communication protocols.
• Experience with HMI development and industrial networking.
