Job Summary:
Reports to the DC Distribution Manager.The Shipping Supervisoris responsible foroverseeing the daily shipping operations within the distribution center, ensuring customer orders are processed, shipped, and billed accurately and on time. This position provides leadership to the shipping team, coordinates workflow across departments, manages inventory and payroll functions, and promotes a safe, efficient, and productive work environmentwhilemeeting company standards and customer expectations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises, coaches, and supports shipping team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
Assigns andmonitorsdaily workloads to meet shipping schedules and productivity goals.
Coordinates employee schedules, attendance, and vacation requests tomaintainadequate staffing levels.
Addresses employee concerns and recommends corrective or disciplinary actionsin accordance withcompany policies.
Promotes a safe, organized, and productive work environment by ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Collaborates with management toidentifyopportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervises staff. Coordinates schedules and vacations to ensure daily work is completed
Completes annual performance evaluations.
Perform these and other tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership, coaching, and team supervision skills.
Knowledge ofwarehouse, distributioncenter, and order fulfillment operations.
Experience managing loose pick operations and order processing workflows.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, productivity, and quality.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GEDrequired.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, distribution center, orlogisticsoperations.
At least 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Experience overseeing order processing, loose pick operations, and workflow coordination.
Experience training, coaching, and developing warehouse associates.
Physical Requirements:
* Abilityto stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twistfrequently.
Ability to climb stairs and work in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
Ability tooperatestandard office equipment and warehouse technology, including computers and handheld scanners.
Ability to read shipping documents, labels, and computer screens.
Manual dexterity to handle paperwork andoperatewarehouse equipment.
Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, and changing temperatures.
Ability to safely navigate a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules as needed to meet business demands
