PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Automation Controls Technician to help build cutting-edge automation systems that are transforming modern manufacturing.

What You'll DoAs an Automation Controls Technician, you'll support the assembly, integration, testing, and optimization of advanced automation equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble custom automation machinery using engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Partner with engineers and technicians to bring designs from concept to operational reality
Install and integrate electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Wire equipment, connect controls, and support system functionality
Test, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment performance
Interpret SolidWorks models, blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Operate machine shop equipment including mills, lathes, and welding tools to fabricate or modify components
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality
Work with automation technologies including sensors, motors, VFDs, and control devices
Maintain a safe, organized work environment while balancing project timelines and priorities
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, machining, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or a related technical field
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on equipment assembly and troubleshooting experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment
Familiarity with automation components such as sensors, drives, and motion-control systems
Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline
Machining, fabrication, or welding experience
Exposure to PLCs, robotics, automation controls, or industrial programming
Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Hands-on mechanical experience through equipment repair, automotive work, farming, or personal technical projects

Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
