Position Summary

As an Assembler or Machine Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality windows and doors while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble windows and doors according to work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
• Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and assembly specifications.
• Select, verify, and prepare the correct materials and components for each product.
• Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
• Report material shortages, quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays to supervisors.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, including:
  • Drills
  • Screw guns
  • Nail and staple guns
  • Chop saws
  • Routers
  • Sanders
• Accurately measure and verify dimensions using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
• Follow all safety procedures, policies, and proper lifting techniques.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more as required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions, production documents, and specifications.
• Basic math skills, including measurements and simple calculations.
• Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing 50+ pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, or general labor.
• Experience in construction, carpentry, woodworking, or mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in multiple departments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
