Job Description

The General Laborer assembles and maintains dust collector and air cleaning equipment in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. You will use hand and power tools, operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes, and support production and inventory activities as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble dust collector and air cleaner machines using hand tools and power tools according to specifications and safety standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on dust collector and air cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes to move materials, components, and finished products safely within the facility.
• Support general production tasks, including packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
• Assist with inventory-related activities such as counting, organizing, and tracking parts and materials.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while using tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Collaborate closely with team members to complete daily production and maintenance tasks efficiently.
• Adapt to a variety of assignments and step in where needed to support overall warehouse and production operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of machinery assembly experience.
• At least 6 months of experience working in a warehouse setting using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently and safely.
• Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
• Experience with general labor tasks in a production or warehouse environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and equipment.
• Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and support different areas as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of heavy assembly experience working with machinery.
• 1+ year of experience in a warehouse production setting.
• Experience operating forklifts and cranes or other heavy material handling equipment.
• Familiarity with packaging processes and basic inventory practices.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse-type facility that is climate controlled, providing a comfortable working environment throughout the year. You will work alongside a team of approximately 6 to 10 people, collaborating daily to meet production and maintenance goals. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with core hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and requires some flexibility to be available beyond core hours as needed. The work involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and cranes, as well as general production and inventory activities. Dress code is typical for a warehouse and production setting, focusing on safety and practicality appropriate for working around machinery and equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of New Ulm, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
