Job Title: Assembly Technician
Assembly TechnicianSaugerties, NY 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Launch Your Career in Semiconductor ManufacturingAre you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and interested in working with advanced manufacturing technology? We are seeking Assembly Technicians to join a growing semiconductor manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates looking to build hands-on technical skills, with training provided for qualified individuals.
In this role, you will assemble, modify, inspect, and test mechanical and electromechanical components while working in a clean, safety-focused production environment.
What You'll Do- Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components according to blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Perform routine assembly tasks using hand tools and production equipment
- Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with company and industry standards
- Identify and report non-conforming components through visual inspections and testing procedures
- Modify parts as needed to meet specific build requirements
- Utilize measuring devices, including micrometers and inspection tools, to verify accuracy
- Complete daily production and time-tracking documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
- Participate in departmental and company meetings as required
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Basic to intermediate mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, and layouts
- Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Good mathematical skills, including fractions, multiplication, division, and measurements
- Strong manual dexterity and visual inspection abilities
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments
- Familiarity with micrometers and precision measuring instruments
- Mechanical inspection or quality control experience
- Trade school or technical training
