APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Cortlandt Manor, NY looking to add a QC Inspector to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to perform hands-on inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications. What your day will look like:
- Conducts routine inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products in accordance with established procedures.
- Evaluates and documents material disposition based on compliance with product specifications.
- Releases approved lots within the inventory management system.
- Holds authority to reject nonconforming materials.
- Inspects and determines the disposition of returned materials.
- Assists the QC Lead with training and setup activities for QC personnel.
- Supports material and product testing as required.
- Ensures products are stored in appropriate warehouse locations according to acceptance status.
- Performs physical inventory movements as needed.
- Applies good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good documentation practices (GDP) consistently in daily operations.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in quality control, manufacturing, or inspection environment.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
