About the Position

• Part- Time position that can become ongoing based on performance.
• Must have reliable personal transportation (your car) or be able to navigate public transportation with experience and ease to ensure reliability and accountability.
• Must be available a minimum of 3-4 days of the week with the hours of 1-5 pm.
• Able to have good time management and communication skills
• Be adaptable in the classroom and able to teach mixed grade levels (K-5)
• We provide paid training, curriculum, supplies, and support along the way.

Responsibilities

• Arrive early to prepare for class to start a lesson on time
• Prepare your lessons and supplies before class (paid) by reading the curriculum and organizing supplies (which will be provided).
• Engage students in FUN hands-on activities
• Ensure the safety and enjoyment of every student in your class
• Be professional and accountable

• College degree (There is no formal education requirement for this position)

Salary and Benefits

• This is a part-time job based on available hours, location, willingness to travel, and available classes.
• Although classes are within 45 minutes to an hour in duration, each instructor (leading or helping) will get paid for 2 hours minimum. New instructors with no experience teaching will be required to shadow and assist as a helper until the probation period (2 weeks) has ended and they are eligible to teach.
• Depending on availability, instructors can teach 2-3 classes daily, making $60-100 a day.
• Pay tier rates are based on enrollment in the class. On average, PAE runs classes between 6-14 students, which can be $40 a class with a minimum of 2 hours at $20 an hour. Larger classes with over 15 students can make over $50 a class with a minimum of 2 hours at $25 an hour. Over 20 students can make $60 a class with a minimum of 2 hours at $30 an hour.
• If you are willing to travel further than a 10-mile home radius, you may be eligible for an additional travel stipend.
