Non CDL Delivery Driver

DC Equipment is a growing Central New Jersey-based Janitorial Supply Distributor seeking a dependable, customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team.

Schedule

·       Monday–Friday

·       Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

·       Overtime available during peak periods

Delivery Area

·       Approximately 80% New Jersey

·       15% Eastern Pennsylvania

·       5% New York City

Responsibilities

·       Load and unload pre-picked pallets

·       Verify products against delivery manifests

·       Make dock and inside deliveries – per customer requirements. Breakdown pallets and bring into some locations with hand truck.

·       Obtain signatures for deliveries and pickups

·       Provide outstanding customer service at every stop

·       Maintain a clean and organized vehicle

·       Return truck each day fueled and ready for the next route

·       Additional duties may include assist with receiving, stocking, inventory, picking,

packing and shipping products

Requirements

·       Must be at least 25 years of age

·       Must have 3 years of driving experience with a 22’ or longer straight truck

·       Valid New Jersey driver’s license

·       Safe driving record

·       Ability to routinely Lift / Push /Pull up to 100lbs

·       Ability to pass a DOT physical

• Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained).

·       Must participate in random drug and alcohol testing

·       High school diploma or GED preferred

Preferred Qualifications

·       3 years’ experience driving 22’ or longer straight trucks (26,000 GVW or more)

·       Experience with pallet jacks and material handling equipment

·       Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe cargo securement practices

·       Familiarity with NJ, NYC, and PA delivery routes

·       Strong communication and customer service skills
