Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/General | 3rd Shift | Highland Hills, OH

Location: Highland Hills, OH
Pay Rate: Up to $47/hour
Schedule: 3rd Shift | Four rotating 10-hour shifts (11:30 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: Must be available to work any day of the week, including weekends
Overtime: No overtime required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Medical/General Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting in Highland Hills, Ohio. This position is for Medical/General nursing only and is not for Mental Health or Dialysis RNs.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent documentation practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a secure healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical/general patient populations.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and correctional facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure quality patient care while maintaining security protocols.

Requirements

• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current CPR Certification
• Minimum of one year of Medical/General RN experience preferred
• Mental Health and Dialysis experience alone will not qualify
• Must live within one hour of the facility
• Must be available to work rotating schedules, including weekends

Pre-Employment Requirements

If selected, candidates must complete:

• BCI Fingerprinting
• TB Test (dated within 30 days of start)
• HireRight NDOT 9-Panel Drug Screen with eCOC 3.0
• Physician-administered Physical Examination

All required screenings must be initiated within 48 hours of accepting the offer and uploaded into DotStaff before the start date.
