Position Overview

Windermere Pediatrics is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our growing pediatric practice. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team member who is experienced in medical billing and willing to learn the front office so they can assist when needed.

This position's primary responsibility is medical billing, but the ideal candidate will also be cross-trained to help support the front desk during breaks, lunches, and other busy times.

Experience is required. Prior experience with PCC (Physicians Computer Company) is preferred, but candidates with strong medical billing experience can be trained on our straightforward billing workflow.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturdays (1–2 Saturdays per month)

Primary Responsibilities

• Submit and manage insurance claims
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
• Post insurance and patient payments
• Review accounts receivable and resolve outstanding balances
• Verify coding and billing accuracy
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status
• Work with providers and staff to resolve billing issues
• Maintain accurate billing documentation
• Help keep claim turnaround times and collections on track

Front Office Support (Cross-Training)

• Answer incoming phone calls professionally
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Check patients in and out as needed
• Assist the front desk during lunch breaks, staff absences, or high-volume periods
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience (required)
• Experience with insurance claims, denials, appeals, and payment posting
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and medical billing procedures
• Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced pediatric office
• Team player willing to assist wherever needed
• PCC experience is a plus but not required
