Yard Associate

Mid Cal Labor Solutions is looking for Experienced Yard Associate 

(Temp-to-Permanent)

Our client is seeking an experienced Yard Associate to support daily operations at a busy fence distribution facility. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity for a dependable, safety-conscious individual with experience in the fencing, steel, or building materials industry. The ideal candidate can work independently, accurately pull and load orders, and thrive in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

* Accurately pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup and delivery.

* Safely load and unload flatbed trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles using forklifts and other material handling equipment.

* Verify order accuracy and inspect materials before shipment.

* Receive inbound shipments and organize inventory within the yard.

* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

* Conduct routine inventory checks and report material discrepancies.

* Work closely with warehouse staff and drivers to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

* Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

* Assist with general yard and warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in the fence, steel, construction, or building materials industry is strongly preferred.

* Experience operating forklifts and safely handling long or heavy materials.

* Ability to read pick tickets and accurately fulfill customer orders.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

* Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision.

* Valid driver’s license preferred.

* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation

* Pay is based on experience (BOE).

* Temp-to-permanent opportunity based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

* 14-day evaluation period.
