Intake Specialist - Employment Law

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and professional bilingual Intake Specialist to work in our Downtown Los Angeles office, full-time on site in our employment division. The ideal candidate will have exceptional customer service mindset. If you have thorough knowledge of California wage & hour laws, and discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination laws (i.e. FEHA) is a plus. Fluent Bilingual in Spanish is a requirement. Intake Specialist is responsible for screening potential clients and calling them back to gather information related to their case. Applicants must demonstrate strong people skills, great customer service, and flexibility. This is a great opportunity for motivated candidates looking to join a growing law firm.

Responsibilities

• Intakes – Handle live calls to perform potential new client intakes and call back potential new clients in the system.
• Gather comprehensive information from prospective clients that contact the firm by email, phone, and in-person
• Following up with prospective and existing clients by phone and email
• Determine if there is a legal aspect to a caller’s problem and summarize the issue
• Process all new sign-ups in a timely matter and according to firm procedures

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience performing in a law firm setting
• Employment law related intakes, signups a plus
• Knowledge of CA employment law is a plus
• Fluent in English and Spanish required
• Excellent Communication – Written and Verbal
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail
• Previous experience working collaboratively with others
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working in an electronic case management system (Clio)
• Ability to act both independently and in a team environment
• Client facing professional demeanor

What We Offer

Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour (depending on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm (on-site)
