About the Role:
Aggregate Water Services is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Utility Meter Reader to join our team in Conroe, TX. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors, serve your local community, and build a career in the essential utility services industry.
Responsibilities:
- Read and record water meter data accurately across assigned residential and commercial routes
- Identify and report damaged, malfunctioning, or tampered meters to supervisors
- Document meter readings using handheld electronic data collection devices
- Navigate routes efficiently on foot or by vehicle in varying weather conditions
- Communicate with customers professionally regarding meter access and related concerns
- Report unusual water usage patterns or potential leaks to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate daily logs and complete all required field documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to walk extended distances and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Basic math skills and comfort using handheld electronic devices
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Prior experience in utility services, meter reading, or field work is a plus
