Support Specialist (Temporary Contract)
Location: San Antonio, TX 78229
Pay Rate: $27.00/hour
Duration: 3-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Support Specialist to join a fast-paced team on a temporary full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, problem-solving, and working within established processes while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
The Support Specialist will be responsible for managing service requests, conducting detailed research, processing funding allocation changes, and supporting operational workflows. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, customer-focused, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, prioritize, and manage incoming service tickets.
- Process and track service requests through a ticketing system.
- Conduct detailed research to investigate and resolve issues accurately and efficiently.
- Research payroll-related information and funding allocations.
- Transfer funding allocations by updating Project ID (PID) assignments and percentages as required.
- Ensure all funding changes are accurate, properly documented, and completed in accordance with established procedures.
- Communicate professionally regarding ticket status, updates, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of requests.
- Escalate complex issues when appropriate.
- Maintain productivity, quality, and service standards in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience using a service desk or ticket management system.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to research information and reconcile discrepancies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with TeamDynamix (TDX) or a similar service desk ticketing platform.
- Experience with payroll processing, funding allocations, accounting support, or financial reconciliation.
- Experience with Oracle or other enterprise systems.
