Dietary Cook - North Pointe Health & Rehab

North Pointe Health & Rehab is a 60 bed skilled nursing facility located in Meridian, MS. We serve three meals daily and have a modern commercial kitchen.

We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs. If you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you. Applicants are expected to demonstrate work experience in a commercial kitchen and be prepared to discuss how they can contribute to both cleaning/food prep as well as cooking.

Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus
- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and order as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food and supplies
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures in the kitchen
- Assist with meal planning and menu development
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
