Accounting Associate

Sampson-Bladen Oil Company is seeking a qualified, motivated and driven individual to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be trained to perform the following tasks.

Essential Functions

• Read and understand fuel bills of lading and invoices
• Input bills of lading and supplier invoices into the account system
• Invoice fuel customers using the accounting system
• Review delivery documents and invoices for accuracy
• Respond to fuel customers and questions as needed

Assist Controller and Assistant Controller as needed

Qualifications

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and accounting software programs.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong time management skills
• Able to adapt to changes in work processes
• Able to work under deadlines
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• 2-year college degree preferred or equivalent accounting experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions.
