Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Lead Carpenter to join our team! In this role, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard, as well as handle other facets of carpentry. The ideal candidate is hardworking and dedicated to producing quality work. If you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to lead a crew of 4 and know all the next steps.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Cabinet, trim, doors, windows, decks, framing, installs
- Handyman/Punch out projects as needed
- Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
- Ensuring the crew has tasks ready for the next day's work upon their arrival.
- Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters
- Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements
- Ability to read and take action on blueprints
- Ability to lead a crew of 4, with proven experience
- Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools
- Knowledge of building regulations and codes
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
