We offer a flexible schedule, all-you-can-eat free pizza, competitive pay, and a supportive environment for learning and career growth. Join us and be part of a team that takes pride in delivering a best-in-class product and creating a positive work experience. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic Facilities Manager to help manage the day-to-day facilities needs of our locations throughout the DMV.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Manager keeps every location running safely, cleanly, and smoothly. This position will be in our restaurants every day, personally handling repair and maintenance (R&M) tasks and issues as they arise. The ideal candidate is a true generalist who can fix most things themselves — from swapping a Turbochef belt to patching a wall to replacing a leaky faucet — while also knowing when a job is beyond in-house scope and needs to go to a specialized vendor. Success in this role means fewer equipment breakdowns, well-maintained restaurants, and strong working relationships with outside contractors and vendors. This role requires experience with facilities management such as Hands-On Repairs & Maintenance, Vendor & Contract Management, Preventative Maintenance & Facility Standards and Administration & Communication. This position works closely with the Store Operations Team to ensure all stores are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-On Repair & Maintenance
    • Visit restaurant locations daily to proactively identify and address facility and equipment issues.
    • Perform basic and intermediate repairs, including but not limited to:
      • Replacing cords/plugs on kitchen equipment
      • Changing Turbochef belts and similar equipment components
      • Basic painting and tile repair/touch-up
      • Replacing gaskets on refrigeration and cooking equipment
      • Replacing T&S sprayers and fixing faucets
      • Other general plumbing, electrical, and light carpentry tasks within scope of a skilled generalist
    • Diagnose issues accurately to determine whether a repair can be handled in-house or requires a licensed/specialized vendor.
    • Maintain a working toolkit and basic parts inventory to handle common repairs on the spot.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management
    • Identify, schedule, and coordinate outside vendors/contractors for repairs beyond in-house capability (e.g., HVAC, major electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, refrigeration compressors).
    • Obtain and compare quotes, ensure work is completed to standard, and verify invoices align with work performed.
    • Build and maintain professional relationships with a reliable network of vendors across all markets.
    • Ensure vendors comply with safety, licensing, and insurance requirements.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Facility Standards
    • Develop and manage a preventive maintenance schedule across all locations to reduce emergency repairs and equipment downtime.
    • Conduct regular facility walkthroughs/inspections, documenting issues and tracking them through resolution.
    • Ensure all locations meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards, and support readiness for health department inspections.
    • Track recurring issues by location and recommend longer-term fixes or capital improvements where needed.
  • Administration & Communication
    • Maintain clear records of facility issues, work orders, vendor visits, and costs by location.
    • Communicate proactively with restaurant managers and leadership on facility status, timelines, and priorities.
    • Manage facilities-related budget items, seeking cost-effective solutions without sacrificing quality or safety.
    • Respond to urgent facility issues promptly, including outside of standard business hours when needed.

Core Values:

All team members at Andy's Pizza are expected to embody our core values in how they work and show up every day

  • Curious – We strive to learn new things in and out of the workplace, always looking to improve through deeper knowledge.
  • Accountable – We do what we say we are going to do and take responsibility for our actions.

  • Fun – We care about being fun, having fun, and creating an environment we love to be in.
  • Genuine Hospitality (in and out) – We care about our team and about our guests, and we do our best to show warm hospitality at every turn.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on facilities, maintenance, or R&M experience, ideally in a multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, Turbochefs, refrigeration, dish equipment) and basic plumbing/electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to perform repairs personally, not just manage them through vendors.
  • Good judgment for knowing when a task requires a licensed professional or specialty vendor.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills; comfortable managing multiple contractor relationships at once.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable working across multiple locations and priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent issues outside normal hours as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Regular travel between restaurant locations across the DC metro area is required.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. with both hands
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and climb ladders as needed.
  • Work is performed in commercial kitchen environments, including exposure to heat, cold (walk-in coolers/freezers), and kitchen equipment.
  • Some early morning, evening, or weekend availability may be required to address urgent facility issues.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hospitality experience
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)

Benefits:

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance – Kaiser Permanente and Delta Dental & Vision
    • 67% Employer Covered
    • Eligible after 30 days of employment
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% company match
    • Eligibility after 1 year of employment
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Employee discounts on food and beverages
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company
