Overview
Join a pioneering team at the forefront of antibody therapeutics innovation! We are an emerging biotechnology company based in the heart of Silicon Valley, harnessing proprietary in vivo technologies to accelerate the discovery of best-in-class therapeutic antibodies. Our mission: enable the industry to tackle its toughest drug targets with transformative efficiency and speed.
We are seeking a driven, collaborative [Senior / Principal Scientist] with a passion for hands-on discovery science to design, implement, and execute innovative antibody campaigns utilizing single B cell screening and advanced flow cytometry. Your expertise in both the strategic and technical aspects of antibody discovery will propel our pipeline—and your career—forward.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and optimize a cutting-edge single B-cell workflow, focusing on antigen-specific enrichment and molecular recovery of antibody variable regions
  • Develop, QC, and manage critical reagents and resources for B-cell workflows and antibody characterization—including protein labeling, cell-line management, and antibody conjugation.
  • Perform, analyze, and interpret antibody screens for binding and functional activity using ELISA, flow cytometry, and diverse biochemical/cell-based assays.
  • Select and maintain cell lines optimized for high target expression and robust screening outcomes.
  • Lead the adoption of new technologies, automation tools, and innovative processes to continually advance antibody discovery efficiency.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide junior scientific staff.
  • Effectively communicate progress, discoveries, and challenges to multidisciplinary internal and external project teams and company leadership.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated technical mastery in multicolor flow cytometry—including panel design and operation on high-performance FACS systems (e.g., BD FACSAria™, Sony platforms) for precise rare B-cell isolation.
  • MS (with 4+ years industry experience) or PhD (with 3+ years industry experience) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or similar field—and a proven scientific record.
  • Strong hands-on experience with single B-cell platforms (e.g., Bruker/Berkeley Lights Beacon, Sphere Fluidics Cyto-Mine, or similar high-throughput systems) to isolate and recover antigen-specific antibody candidates.
  • Practical expertise in molecular recovery and sequence analysis post-single cell screening (e.g., RT-PCR, plate-based cloning, next-gen sequencing workflows).
  • Advanced lab skills in cell culture, molecular biology, high-throughput screening, and assay development.
  • Experienced at balancing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
  • Strong communicator and effective collaborator, motivated by scientific discovery and innovation.
