Job Description
The Material Handler plays a key role in accurately filling, packaging, and labeling a variety of material products, including powders and liquids, while maintaining organized inventory and supporting shipping operations. This position works with automated and semi-automated machinery, follows established standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contributes to a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
Responsibilities- Accurately fill material products into syringes of various sizes according to established procedures.
- Carefully insert pistons into syringes while avoiding trapped air to ensure product quality.
- Operate automated and semi-automated machinery used to fill and label packaging.
- Print labels with correct product and batch information and apply them neatly to packaging.
- Accurately count parts and seal them in bags, ensuring correct quantities and proper closure.
- Maintain local inventory of parts used in the department, including tracking usage and stock levels.
- Pack items into boxes and deliver them to the shipping department in a timely manner.
- Fill powder and liquid products into appropriate containers and securely apply caps.
- Read, comprehend, and follow SOPs and the employee manual to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Take direction from lead personnel and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Keep work areas clean and organized throughout the shift to support safety and efficiency.
- Perform weekly area cleaning, including washing work surfaces and occasionally mopping floors.
- Support general warehouse activities such as packing, picking, loading, production support, shipping, and filling orders as needed.
- At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse role operating machinery.
- Ability to operate automated and semi-automated filling and labeling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate filling, counting, labeling, and packaging.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow SOPs and the employee manual.
- Basic understanding of packing, packaging, picking, loading, production, shipping, and filling orders.
- Physical strength and endurance, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Ability to work safely with protective gear such as steel-toed shoes.
- Experience working on or near a warehouse dock.
- Comfort working with both powder and liquid products in a production environment.
- Organizational skills to maintain clean, orderly work areas and accurate local inventory.
- Willingness to follow directions from lead personnel and adapt to changing priorities.
- Reliability and consistency in meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a warehouse and often on or near a warehouse dock, involving regular lifting and moving of materials from trucks, pallets, and racks. The environment is active and physical, requiring strength, endurance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Steel-toed shoes and other protective gear are essential for safety. Work areas are kept clean and organized, with weekly cleaning that includes washing work surfaces and occasionally mopping floors. You will work around production equipment used for filling and labeling, and you will spend much of your time standing, walking, and handling materials in a structured warehouse setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
