Job Description
Join a dynamic team at a concrete manufacturing plant with two facilities located just a mile apart in Royersford, PA and Spring City, PA. This position involves working with utility companies and custom projects including storm drains, light poles, and highway rails. You will frequently move between both sites to support various operations.
Responsibilities
- Strip concrete castings from all forms.
- Clean and remove damaged caulking, concrete, and other materials from forms prior to setup.
- Reset pallets and cores according to approved shop drawings.
- Build styrofoam and/or wood block outs.
- Build and assemble basic wood forms.
- Install proper cages with correct coverages and required casts.
- Cast, vibrate, and finish fresh concrete.
- Set up standard forms, slabs, GTE, overbuilds, or other special forms.
- Set up or change over adjustable forms.
Essential Skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and forklift operation.
- Experience with rigging, general labor, and inventory management.
- Concrete labor skills including finishing, patching, and cleaning.
- Ability to read and comprehend shop drawings and steel design drawings.
- Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, and understanding fractions.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of concrete, construction, and landscaping.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
- Capability to perform mathematical operations using English and Metric units of measurement.
- Critical thinking skills to follow detailed instructions.
- Decision-making skills affecting both individual efficiency and team operations.

Work Environment
The work environment is akin to an indoor construction site, characterized by older, loud, and sometimes dark and dirty conditions. Employees are exposed to high places, varying weather, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level is usually moderate. Work hours are from 5 am to 1 pm or 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Employees are encouraged to wear steel toe work boots and appropriate work attire, including long work pants and a t-shirt. Safety and precision are key, as lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing onto forms, and overhead reaching are required.
