American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and an active NM or compact RN license.

- Work setting is a 198-bed Level III trauma center serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah \n
- Emergency Department has 48 beds with flex space, receiving a range of trauma cases including those flown in from Level I and II trauma situations \n
- Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, and substance abuse cases with common presentations including chest pain, abdominal pain, CHF, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis \n
- Patient ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track \n
- Shift is nights, 7P–7A (19:00–07:00) \n
- Requires a minimum of two weekends per schedule \n
- No on-call or float requirements \n
- EMR is Cerner \n
- Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV \n

- Active NM RN license or compact RN license currently in hand \n
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required \n
- ADN or higher required \n
- Required certifications (all must be AHA-issued): BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC \n
- Experience required in trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation \n
- US Social Security Number required for consideration \n
- Two professional references required for consideration \n

- The department operates on a team nursing and pod system model \n
- A social worker and unit educator are assigned to the department \n
- Farmington, NM is located in the San Juan River Valley in northwest New Mexico, approximately 1 hour from Durango, CO and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM \n
- The surrounding area offers hiking, kayaking, off-roading, six National Parks, three rivers, four golf courses, and five lakes \n
