Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel contract in California, requiring a minimum of 4 years of ED experience and an active CA RN license.

  • Critical Access Hospital (17-bed) Emergency Department setting in Mammoth Lakes, CA
  • \n
  • Primarily night shift with the possibility of varied day and night shifts based on department need
  • \n
  • 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
  • \n
  • Charting, assessment, and documentation of patient care at least every 2 hours and as pertinent changes occur
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active California RN license required
  • \n
  • Minimum of 4 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), PALS or ENPC
  • \n
  • NRP certification preferred
  • \n
  • DOB and SSN may be required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring, admission, transfer, discharge, and coordination with physicians and ancillary departments
  • \n
  • Must be knowledgeable of laboratory values related to diagnosis and able to correlate physician orders to patient diagnosis
  • \n
  • Expected to follow established safety and infection control procedures and intervene in unsafe situations
  • \n
  • Facility-managed dorm-style housing may be available for an additional monthly cost, with studio and one-bedroom furnished apartment options, each with a private kitchen and bathroom
  • \n
  • Housing amenities include pool, fitness center, common lounge areas, Wi-Fi, and cable
  • \n
  • Mammoth Lakes is a year-round outdoor recreation destination with access to skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and proximity to Yosemite National Park
