Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Northern New Mexico, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and the ability to care for surgical and geriatric patients on a night shift schedule.

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
\n
• 13-week contract
\n
• Med/Surg Telemetry unit located on the 2nd floor of a 47-bed acute care facility
\n
• 15-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
\n
• Adult and geriatric patient population, predominantly geriatric
\n
• Surgical patient care is a primary responsibility of this role
\n
• Stepdown and telemetry strip interpretation experience preferred
\n
• Equipment: GE monitoring systems
\n
• EHR: Medhost
\n
• Minimum of 4 weekend hours required per month
\n
• No on-call requirements
\n
• Floating to other units is possible but rarely required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NM or Compact RN license required
\n
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Experience caring for surgical patients required
\n
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
\n

• This facility is a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico with approximately 300 healthcare employees
\n
• Candidates must permanently reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
\n
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
\n
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment
\n
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
\n
• A team-oriented attitude and ability to work effectively with limited resources is highly valued
