American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience, MEDITECH proficiency, and an active NYS RN license.

  • Emergency Department (ED) unit in a hospital setting
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • \n
  • 12-hour shifts
  • \n
  • 13-week contract
  • \n
  • No on-call requirements
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active NYS RN license required
  • \n
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • \n
  • MEDITECH EMR experience required
  • \n
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • \n
  • Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
  • \n
  • Must be able to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
  • \n
  • Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified
  • \n
  • Strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
  • \n
  • 2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager — from within the past year and within the ED/relevant specialty
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • May be required to assume charge nurse duties
  • \n
  • Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam during the probationary period
  • \n
  • Must become defibrillation certified within six months
  • \n
  • Must demonstrate safe patient handling and lift assessment skills
  • \n
  • Must be able to perform effectively in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving abilities
  • \n
