American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rural ICU/Med-Surg position requiring at least 3 years of experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.

- Rural hospital setting serving adult med-surg, pediatric med-surg, and step-down patient populations \n
- Cares for a diverse patient population including pediatric, geriatric, and general adult patients \n
- Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM \n
- 13-week contract \n
- \n
- Active NM or Compact RN license currently in hand \n
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required \n
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, NRP \n
- Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments across all age groups including pediatric and geriatric populations \n
- Ability to assist physicians with procedures requiring technical and manual skills \n
- Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment safely and correctly \n

- Responsibilities span ICU-level and med-surg care in a rural hospital environment \n
- Performs comprehensive assessments and adapts plans of care based on patient response to treatment \n
- Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs \n
- Functions as a liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers \n
- Utilizes an interdisciplinary approach by consulting other departments as appropriate \n
- Addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients and families \n
- Coordinates with social services and discharge planning for both in-hospital and post-discharge needs \n
