Join our team as an ER Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in New Haven, CT. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic Emergency Department (ER) environment, where you will be cross-trained and may float between campuses as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
\n
• Maintain an average RN-to-patient ratio of 1:6 during day shifts.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
\n

\n

Requirements:

\n

\n
• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a similar hospital setting preferred; 2 years of experience is ideal.
\n
• Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, BLS.
\n
• Must be able to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.
\n
• Pending licenses are accepted.
\n
• Availability for weekend shifts every other week is required.
\n

Special Notes:

\n

\n
• Travelers will not work in trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units.
\n
• RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
\n
• Guaranteed hours are provided.
\n

\n

This position is based at a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers parking for $125/month.
