Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery/Postpartum RN for a NOC shift travel assignment requrequiring an active MA RN license and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Details\n

\n
• Work on an 11-bed Obstetrics unit handling labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients
\n
• Unit performs C-sections on the floor, with the OB RN supporting the patient and caring for the baby while the OR team scrubs and circulates
\n
• Approximately 400 deliveries per year with core staffing of 4 RNs per shift
\n
• Patient ratios are 1:1 for laboring patients and 2-3 mom/baby couplets per nurse for postpartum care
\n
• NOC shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week (19:00-07:30)
\n
• 30-minute meal break included in each shift
\n
• May occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census
\n
• Required to float to Med/Surg, ED, ICU, or Mental Health units as a 1:1 sitter without taking a nursing assignment
\n

Requirements\n

• Active MA RN license required
\n
• Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing experience required
\n
• NRP certification required
\n
• ACLS certification required
\n
• AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring certification required
\n

• Provide direct nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patient populations
\n
• Support OB patients during C-sections performed on the unit while OR staff manages surgical care
\n
• Work alongside a core team of 4 RNs per shift within a fast-paced obstetrics unit
