Central Texas Steel Erectors is hiring experienced Structural Steel Deckers for commercial projects throughout the Greater Austin Area.

Pay & Benefits

• $28.00 to $32.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Overtime available
• Steady, long-term work
• Opportunity for advancement

Job Responsibilities

• Install metal roof and floor decking on structural steel buildings
• Lay out, position, and secure metal decking
• Install sidelaps, closures, and pour stops
• Operate screw guns, welding equipment, and powder-actuated tools as required
• Read and interpret structural drawings and deck layouts
• Work safely at heights while maintaining OSHA safety standards
• Work efficiently with the steel erection crew to keep projects on schedule

Requirements

• Previous structural steel decking experience required
• Experience installing metal deck on commercial steel structures
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work at heights and lift 50+ lbs.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
