Electrical Assembler III

**Job Description** An Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Operator sets up, programs, and runs visual inspection machines to check Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBs) for soldering issues, component misplacements, and polarity errors. They verify flagged defects to ensure product quality and communicate findings to rework and engineering teams. + Safely load and unload PCB panels, run pre-programmed inspection routines, and adjust machine parameters as needed. + Review machine-flagged anomalies and differentiate between false calls and actual defects. + Interpret inspection reports and categorize defects according to established industry standards like IPC-A-610. + Perform routine machine calibration, basic troubleshooting, and inform technicians of systemic assembly or component issues. + Record inspection data, log defect trends, and assist with first-piece inspections. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + High School diploma or GED + 12 years in electronics manufacturing, SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes, or quality control inspection. + Familiarity with reading PCB layout diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and using microscopy/magnification aids. + Excellent close vision, depth perception, and the ability to accurately differentiate colors. + Basic familiarity or certification with IPC-A-610-TgQPHd||[]->standards. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Manufacturing or a related technical discipline + Direct experience operating or programming AOI equipment. Previous knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is highly desired. + Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layout diagrams, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM). + General data entry and software navigation skills. Ability to load, adjust, and understand algorithm-based inspection programs. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $48438 - $77500 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
