Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team at Sweetwater Care, located in Greater Boston, MA. As a key member of our business office, you will play a critical role in managing our accounts receivable, preparing and submitting claims, and supporting our residents and families.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Receivable, including billing, collections, and follow-up

• Prepare and submit Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Insurance claims

• Track outstanding balances and ensure timely reimbursement

• Lead triple check and ensure claims are accurate before submission

• Support residents and families with Medicaid questions and processes

• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records

• Generate monthly statements and invoices

• Communicate with families, payers, and internal teams as needed

• Support month-end close and financial reporting

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in a Business Office Manager (BOM) or similar billing role

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility is strongly preferred

• Healthcare billing experience required if not SNF

• Strong understanding of Medicare and Massachusetts Medicaid

• Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR) independently and stay organized
