Director of Food Service

Established food service management company actively seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Director of Dining Operations.

In this role, you would be responsible for the daily coordinating of the Nutrition Program. This position ensures nutrition services are provided in accordance with Local, State and Federal guidelines for the K-12 SLP

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the development and implementation of food handling and sanitation policies and procedures.

2. Responsible for the Scheduling, Training, and Discipline of the department.

3. Must be able to adhere to all the mandated requirements for all meals.

4. Review and process all reports and submit paperwork by deadlines.

5 Responsible for communicating any vendor and/or supply issues and/or concerns immediately.

6. Act as a trainer and mentor to the staff.

7. Responsible for coordinating and participating in Audits as they arise while being able to develop Corrective Action Plans that will effectively address issues.

8. Responsible for maintaining required documentation that follows Federal requirements.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / 5 years Culinary Management experience 

• SERV Safe Certified

• Familiar with K-12 SLP

• Ability to work independently

• Strong leadership, communication and training skills a must

• Organizational skills 

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office

•  Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

 Candidates must have food service experience.   This individual must possess the ability to lead the organization through change and growth. 

Must be familiar with food prep operations, clinical services and regulatory compliance. 

Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role supervising 3 to 4 or more employees. 

Good communication, verbal and written as well as computer skills and nutritional software such as Meal tracker.
