Job Description
Human Resources Director

Danan Healthcare Consulting Group, Inc. and Affiliated Companies is seeking an experienced, organized, and employee-focused Human Resources Director to lead HR operations across our corporate office and affiliated healthcare, senior-living, education, agency, and assisted-living entities.

This full-time leadership role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who can balance day-to-day employee support with high-level compliance, workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits coordination, policy management, and HR systems oversight. The HR Director partners closely with executive leadership, facility administrators, department leaders, payroll, scheduling, and operations teams to support a stable, compliant, and engaged workforce.

Primary Location: Pennsylvania with occasional travel to Ohio

Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday through Friday business hours, with occasional evening or weekend needs for orientations, job fairs, urgent employment matters, or scheduled corporate events

What You’ll Do

·        Lead HR strategy, compliance readiness, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce support across multiple affiliated entities.

·        Manage recruiting activity and candidate pipelines, including job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, offers, pre-employment requirements, and weekly recruitment reporting.

·        Oversee onboarding, personnel files, required clearances, background checks, licensure or certification verification, training documentation, and employee record accuracy.

·        Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and leaders regarding workplace concerns, policy interpretation, attendance, conduct, coaching, corrective action, and conflict resolution.

·        Coordinate payroll, timekeeping, benefits, leave, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and employment-administration processes in partnership with responsible leaders and vendors.

·        Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, forms, procedures, and compliance practices for Pennsylvania and Ohio operations.

·        Support survey readiness, audits, QAPI, Plans of Correction, and workforce-related compliance follow-up by maintaining accurate HR records and reporting.

·        Use HR systems such as Paycom, Apploi, PointClickCare, and related platforms to maintain data integrity, reporting, and process accountability.

What We’re Looking For

·        Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred but not required; a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

·        At least two years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and employment administration in a multi-site environment (preferred but not required).

·        Strong knowledge of employment practices affecting Pennsylvania and Ohio operations, including wage and hour, leave, accommodation, equal employment, workers’ compensation, unemployment, and personnel-record requirements.

·        Ability to manage confidential matters, conduct or coordinate workplace investigations, interpret policies, and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and executives.

·        Experience in skilled nursing, personal care, assisted living, home care/agency, education, or another regulated healthcare setting is preferred.

·        Experience with payroll/timekeeping, benefits, reporting, and multi-state policy management is preferred.

·        SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or comparable HR certification is preferred.

·        Ability to travel routinely to affiliated locations as needed.

Key Strengths for Success

The successful candidate will bring strong organization, follow-through, discretion, sound judgment, employee-centered communication, policy knowledge, project management skills, data literacy, and the ability to balance urgent needs with long-term HR priorities.

Why Join Us

This is an opportunity to serve in a meaningful HR leadership role supporting healthcare and senior-living teams that care for residents, employees, students, and communities. You will help strengthen staffing, improve employee support, maintain compliance readiness, and build consistent HR processes across a growing organization.
