Assistant Director of Nursing

Job Summary

Concord Care of Hartford, a premier long-term care company operating twenty-one facilities throughout Ohio, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team at its Fowler, Ohio location. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, the ADON will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care, promoting a positive team environment, and upholding our mission to provide the highest quality care to our residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the Director of Nursing and the nursing staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration

  • Participate in the development and achievement of nursing department goals and objectives, contributing to the overall success of the facility

  • Assist in the implementation of and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice consistent with corporate and external regulatory guidelines

  • Provide direct resident care as staffing patterns demand, demonstrating a commitment to patient-centered care and compassion

  • Act as a resource person and role model for nursing staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment

  • Ensure effective interaction with residents and families, fostering strong relationships and trust

  • Attend and participate in department/facility meetings as required, staying informed and engaged in facility operations

  • Assist surveyors and inspectors to facilitate regulatory compliance, as per the direction of the director of Clinical Services

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or a related field

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality
