Activities Director - Madison, OH
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Director to join our team at Meadow Falls of Madison, a resort-style senior living community offering Assisted Living, Memory Care, for seniors.
As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Activities Director will work closely with residents, families, and staff to create a warm and welcoming environment that promotes socialization, engagement, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents
Plan and execute daily activities, including games, crafts, outings, and entertainment events
Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for intergenerational programming and community outreach
Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and provide support to residents
Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities program, making adjustments as needed
Activities Director will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents and staff
Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of experience in activities direction or a related field
Activities Director should possess strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with activity planning and implementation, with a focus on senior living environments
Working Environment:
Activities Director will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on resident-centered care
Regular exposure to seniors with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
