Activities Director
The Highlands of Owasso is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activities Director to join our team!
We're looking for someone with an outgoing personality who is passionate about enriching the lives of our residents through meaningful, engaging, and person-centered activities. If you love building relationships, thinking outside the box, and creating memorable experiences, we'd love to meet you.
Activity Director Certification Preferred, Certified Nursing Assistant Certification is required ; however, we are willing to send the right candidate to Activity Director certification training.
Primary ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the facility's activity program to meet the individual needs and interests of each resident.
Create engaging recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being.
Develop individualized programming that reflects each resident's preferences, abilities, and goals.
Coordinate community outreach opportunities and establish partnerships that enhance resident programming.
Collaborate with all departments to ensure activities are integrated into residents' daily lives and overall care.
Complete all required documentation, reports, calendars, assessments, and administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
Review departmental policies and procedures annually and recommend updates as needed.
Stay current with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as professional standards governing long-term care activities.
Maintain departmental compliance with applicable regulations and facility policies.
Assist with developing and managing the department budget and staffing needs.
Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Administrator regarding the operation, growth, and success of the Activities Department.
Assume responsibility and accountability for the overall leadership and daily operation of the Activities Department.
Outgoing, positive, and compassionate personality.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lead group activities and motivate residents to participate.
Experience in long-term care or senior living is preferred.
Activity Director Certification is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
