About the Role:
Xpress Pediatrics in Pikesville, MD is looking for a passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year with General pediatric or pediatric urgent care experience to join our dedicated care team. Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well-child visits, acute illness evaluations, and follow-up appointments
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions across all age groups from newborns to adolescents
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging as clinically appropriate
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, preventive care, and disease management
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Maryland
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) with a focus in Pediatrics or Family Practice
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification preferred
- Prior clinical experience in a pediatric setting strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required; PALS certification a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children and their families
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced clinical environment
