Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) to join a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while ensuring compliance with infection control and quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate sterilization and High-Level Disinfection (HLD) equipment following established procedures.
• Perform quality assurance checks and maintain sterilization documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels and distribute sterile supplies to patient care areas.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Identify equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.

Requirements:

• Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD) – Required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience.
• Experience working in a 500+ bed hospital.
• Minimum 6 months of travel experience.
• Ability to provide 2 professional references from the most recent assignments/employers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level I Trauma Center experience.
• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification.
• Orthopedic tray experience.
