- Set up and operate medically prescribed respiratory equipment and supplies
- Provide high-quality respiratory care aligned with patient goals
- Train patients and caregivers on ventilators and DME devices
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy, adjusting as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in discharge planning
- Document patient care services accurately in medical records
- Maintain infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe environment
- Perform maintenance and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
- Stay updated with professional development activities
- Valid Virginia Respiratory Therapist license
- 2+ years of clinical respiratory care experience
- Strong knowledge of respiratory procedures and infection control
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
