CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist

This position is intended for an experienced machinist who can set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills, interpret complex machining drawings, and produce accurate parts with limited supervision. Candidates should take pride in their work, maintain high quality standards, and be comfortable working independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

· Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mills

· Read and interpret machining drawings, blueprints, and job instructions

· Determine appropriate tooling, workholding, and machining processes

· Edit CNC programs at the machine as needed

· Machine large, complex, close-tolerance components

· Inspect work using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments

· Verify dimensions throughout the machining process

· Make offsets and adjustments to maintain dimensional requirements

· Identify and resolve machining, tooling, or setup issues

· Maintain accurate production and inspection records

· Follow established safety and quality procedures

· Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized
