Job Description
The Interior Technician performs interior modifications and upgrades on corporate and business aircraft, focusing on the removal, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, and other interior components to support comprehensive upgrade programs. This role works closely with avionics teams to ensure that all interior structures, furnishings, and finishes are correctly installed and aligned with new systems and materials.
Responsibilities- Remove aircraft interior components including seats, cabinets, sidewalls, panels, bins, raceways, galley sections, carpet, and cockpit seats as part of upgrade and modification projects.
- Inspect and repair installation brackets, mounting hardware, and related assemblies to ensure structural integrity and compliance with aviation standards.
- Reinstall and install seats, galleys, lavatories, bins, sidewalls, panels, and other interior equipment using updated materials and components.
- Support modifications that require new wiring runs from the flight deck to the electronics bay and through ceilings and sidewalls by removing and replacing interior components to provide access for avionics technicians.
- Work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to perform accurate interior installations and rework.
- Use appropriate hand and power tools to complete removal, installation, repair, and finishing tasks safely and efficiently.
- Perform interior finishing, including trim work, upholstery-related tasks, and cabinetry fit-up to achieve high-quality corporate aircraft interiors.
- Conduct rework and adjustments on aircraft interior components to meet fit, finish, and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with avionics technicians and other maintenance personnel to coordinate interior work with system installations and testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment in accordance with safety and maintenance procedures.
- Minimum of 3+ years of aircraft interiors installation experience.
- At least 2+ years of recent experience specifically in aircraft interiors removal and installation.
- Hands-on experience working from blueprints and technical drawings for aircraft interior projects.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools for removal, installation, repair, and finishing of aircraft interior components.
- Experience with corporate and business aircraft interiors, including platforms such as Hawker and similar airframes.
- Strong skills in aircraft interior installation, interior finishing, repair, upholstery, cabinetry, and interior trim work.
- Ability to perform rework on aircraft interior components to meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Must provide and use personal tools appropriate for aircraft interior work.
- Airframe license preferred for at least one of the available openings.
- Experience working in a FAR-145 Repair Station or corporate aircraft service center environment.
- Background in aircraft, aviation, and airframe structures related to interior installations.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship in corporate aircraft interiors.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with avionics technicians and other maintenance personnel.
- Capability to interpret and follow detailed modification programs and work instructions.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a FAR-145 Repair Station and corporate service center environment, focused on maintenance, repair, and modification of business aircraft. Work is performed in hangar and shop areas equipped for aircraft interior removal, installation, and finishing, alongside avionics and maintenance activities. Technicians regularly use a variety of hand and power tools, work from blueprints, and handle interior components such as seats, sidewalls, bins, panels, raceways, galley sections, carpet, and cockpit seating. The environment emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and quality workmanship in corporate aviation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr.
